If you feel you die too much just go cyclonic IV, you'll be immortal. Alternative weapons are the javelin and the particle rifle. The turret is mainly for allies because it gives very little shields back compared to what you have. A trick is that you go faster when you go backwards, so you can achieve a good spped by shooting while going backwards with an adrenaline module.
